Frequently Asked Questions:

Q) Is your stuff food and dishwasher safe?
A) Yes. We toss our mugs in the dishwasher, but recommend hand washing
larger items. Extend the life of your art pottery by avoiding microwave or conventional ovens. Having said that, I microwave my
tea several times before actually getting to finish one cup. Nothing bad has ever happened.

Q) Can I put any text I want on a piece? A) For the most part, yes. We reserve the right to say no to anything that will make us
look evil.

Q) I'm wicked picky and demand perfection in all things. Will every letter on my piece be perfectly formed and aligned? A)
Not a chance. That kind of work is done by machine. Our products are made by hand.
I started my design career in 1985 and spent the next 18 years designing
interiors & in particular, kitchens. I loved my work completely. I've had dinner in
many of my kitchens, seen them published in a number of magazines, one
book and on the side of a really big truck.

In 1998, I started painting unfinished pottery at a local paint-your-own- pottery
studio. Completely obsessed (my future ex-husband could only shake his head
and lament "Crap. We're getting a kiln,") I decided I was having a place like that,
only way better.

In 2002, a friend (and former kitchen client) and I opened "You're Fired - Paint
Your Own Pottery & Mosaics." By 2005, we owned & operated three successful
studios. When I wasn't scraping glaze off of my glasses or sweating over a kiln,
I was painting. In the summer of 2005,
The Muses inspired my latest creation -
Museware Pottery.
My work is mostly playful, sometimes serious. All of my work features words or quotes and is inspired by mixed media collage
and rubber stamping.  Some expressions are inspirational, some - just plain cheeky. Each piece is individually hand stamped
and painted. I carve many of my own stamps which opens up a world of design possibilities.

By the way, that's me - Sheree Burlington - looking much sweeter than I actually am.
